With support from local police, Glasgow, Scotland, held a demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people

Recently, several countries around the world have demonstrated in support of Palestine, condemning Israeli atrocities against the unarmed Palestinian people. In Glasgow, Scotland, the Scottish people expressed their strong solidarity with Palestine and called on the government and authorities to urgently intervene and provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip

A similar situation unfolded in the city of Manchester, where thousands of protesters gathered after Israel severed communications in Gaza through intense attacks. This resulted in a significant communication blackout between 2.3 million people in Gaza and the outside world

Additionally, a large number of Arab communities participated, many of whom had lost family members in these wars. Local police also played a role in organizing these events

Glasgow, Scotland has a long history of solidarity with the Palestinian

cause. This is exemplified by the supporters of Celtic Football Club, who confronted security measures and decided to support the Palestinian cause during one of their matches in the UEFA Champions League

The club issued a call to its fans on the day of the match, after supporters encouraged the “courageous raising of the Palestinian flag” in support of Gaza. Gaza has been under Israeli attack for over two weeks, resulting in over 5,000 casualties and tens of thousands of wounded

Celtic’s fans were among the first to show their solidarity on the football field after the recent events surrounding the Al-Aqsa storm. On October 7th, they raised Palestinian flags in their stadium and displayed two banners, one reading “Free Palestine” and the other saying “Victory for the Resistance” during Celtic’s victory over Kilmarnock in the Scottish League
